I love graphic novels, but not so much manga – purely because I want intriguing art, and I don’t favour simply black-and-white. However, if you’re like me, even though it’s in black-and-white, you will not be disappointed with this manga series, based on the “Maximum Ride” novel series by James Patterson. You will get swept up with the fast-paced storyline: six teens who have been genetically modified with avian DNA. Why? Who did it? Who’s chasing them? What will become of Max and her friends.
