The King Has Goat Ears – Katarina Jovanovic

This is about a king who dislikes a particular feature of himself: his ears.  He dislikes them so much that every time he has a barber come to the palace to cut his hair, they never get to leave the palace.  The people wondered what was going on, and barbers feared a summons to the palace. Soon, there were no more barbers.  A pet groomer, Igor, was summoned to cut the king’s hair.  Igor didn’t say anything bad about the king’s ears – in fact, he complimented him.  Igor was allowed to go home.  This book tells a tale of self-acceptance – like yourself the way you are.  Delightful.
