It opens as a coming-of-age story as Malcolm Wilson and his best friend Gerald face the daily horrors of bullying, alcoholism, broken homes, and child abuse in their small Scottish town’s high school. Fast forward twenty years to Vancouver, Canada and we can understand where Malcolm’s strength comes from as he embarks on a trip to help his girlfriend Heather find the daughter torn out of her arms 10 years earlier. A self-published success story, I finished this page-turner in two days as I raced to find out what would happen. This story read like a suspenseful thriller and the secrets unravelled as the pages flew by. (submitted by MS)
